THE OFFICIAL RED BUS TOUR

THE OFFICIAL RED BUS TOUR
€35 – Adults, €15 – Kids (ages 3 -11) & FREE – Under 2 years.
The red bus is available DAILY in October.
In November it’s running Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

When booking, please state if you would prefer the open air top deck or enclosed bottom deck when booking.

AIR CONDITIONED MINIBUS
€45 Adult & €30 Child (ages 3-11).
You can also visit the ghost town on an air conditioned minibus.
Please note this does NOT go to the beach or  visit the Devran restaurant like the Red Bus Tour.
The minibus has 18 people max and is available on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

TOUR SUMMARY
The Official Red Bus Tour is an amazing day out where you get 3 trips in one.
🔹You get time to visit the old town of Famagusta for history and to do some shopping.
🔹Next on to the Ghost Town, Varosha, where you can walk around and take in the extent of what happened in 1974. 
🔹Lastly it’s a visit to the most cleanest clearest beach on the island – it’s truly incredible!
Here you can also get something to eat and drink.
As part of the tour, you can get a meal and a drink plus a sunbed on the beach for just €6!
You get a choice of a beefburger or a chicken burger + chips + a drink of water or a beer.
For €8 you can get fish and chips + water or a beer plus a sunbed on the beach for €8.
 
HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE:
The beautiful Venetian Walls of Famagusta.
Saint Nicholas Cathedral, constructed in Gothic style in 1328.
Othello Castle which is described by William Shakespeare in his play ‘Othello’.
 
DETAILS
Free time in Famagusta Old Town Centre for sightseeing and lunch, (approx.1 hour 30 min).
Free time into the “Ghost Town” swimming and lunch, (approx. 2 hours, lunch is optional and not included in the price).
The closed area of the Ghost Town is CARD ONLY.
Everywhere else such as the beach or the old town, you can use Euros, Sterling, Turkish Lira or card.
Pickup at one of our pick up points in Paralimni, Protaras and Ayia Napa.
Pick ups start in Ayia Napa around 08:15 at the first hotel near the waterpark.
The red bus returns to Protaras approximately 15:00 and Ayia Napa around 15:30.
The minibus will return earlier as it is quicker than the bus and less people at passport control to check etc.

IS THERE WIFI ON THE BUS?
No.
CAN I PAY FOR THE TRIP BY CARD ON THE BUS?
NO. Please note it is CASH ONLY to pay for this trip on the bus.
IS LUNCH INCLUDED?
No. Lunch & a drink can be purchased to eat on the beach for just €6.
ARE THERE TOILETS ON BOARD?
No but there are toilets at the border check point, in the old town centre and at the beach.
ARE TRANSFERS INCLUDED?
Yes. Your pick up point & time will be given once your booking is confirmed.
DO I NEED MY PASSPORT?
YES! You MUST have your passport with you otherwise you will NOT be permitted across the border.
CAN I USE MY NATIONAL ID CARD?
Only EUROPEAN CITIZENS are allowed to use their national ID cards.
CAN I USE A PHOTOCOPY?
No this is not allowed.
SHALL I BRING MY SWIMWEAR?
Yes. Please bring your swimwear and towel if you wish to swim in the crystal clear water at the beach.
